Jude 1:20-21: Lectio means reading with the ears of our heart. It is a form in prayer & Bible reading. Lectio begins with silent prayer, prayer for inspiration, and with (prayer of) confession/contrition. A Bible passage is read, as we listen for the still, small voice of our great God. Following, each verse/sentence is read again, with a pause in between, and a personal "echo" is shared by those present. (No analytical discussion is offered.) Some of New Testament Thursday Bible reading will include Lectio form. | |
